The THPR1083 Range Enhanced DTC Radio System combines a DTC SOL8SDR-C-234043 radio core with high-power RF subsystems inside a compact, low-SWaP assembly. Configured as a two-channel S-Band system, it integrates RF amplification, filtering, control electronics, and external interfaces to deliver as much as 40 W of total THPR output across 2200–2500 MHz. Compared with operation of the underlying radio alone, the integrated architecture supports increased RF power, higher throughput, and communication across greater link distances.
Accepting a +16 to +32 VDC supply, the THPR1083 incorporates bidirectional amplifiers (BDAs) alongside SoC-based monitoring and control functions. Real-time power measurement and link diagnostics provide operators with visibility into radio and RF performance, while the consolidated package reduces the need to assemble separate amplification and control hardware around the DTC radio. This combination supports defense communications where greater link reach and data capacity are required without substantially increasing system size, weight, and power demands.
