Achromatic Triplets
Torrent Photonics can produce custom achromatic triplets in a range of sizes. A triplet lens typically uses a low refractive index crown glass element between two high refractive index flint glass elements, helping to eliminate axial spherical and chromatic aberration.
Torrent’s triplet achromatic lenses use symmetry to correct aberrations and are made for 1:1 conjugate ratios. The low-index core element is positioned between two identical high-index outer elements, providing aberration correction for larger fields.
