STELION Navigation

STELION Navigation (STELION-SNS) brings celestial heading and geolocation capabilities together in one compact optical sensor. Developed for day and night use, it gives defense integrators an additional navigation reference for platforms operating in contested environments.

The sensor delivers 0.1° heading accuracy and geolocation accuracy of 4–5 km by day and 1–2 km at night. Its CMOS detector provides daytime and nighttime fields of view of 170° and 40°, respectively.

A plug-and-play architecture simplifies installation within military platforms. STELION-SNS weighs less than 170 g and consumes no more than 3 W, with 5 VDC or 12 VDC supply options available on request. Communications use RS-422, with NMEA specified for production units.
