The Virtualized Gateway combines industrial communications, local processing, and application deployment within a DIN rail-mountable device. Its quad-core ARM Cortex-A72 processor operates at 1.5 GHz alongside embedded Linux, providing the computing capacity needed for edge-based artificial intelligence, data analytics, and other processing-intensive workloads. An integrated Node-RED environment gives users a visual development canvas for creating and deploying functionality without working directly at the embedded software or hardware level.
Python and JavaScript code can be deployed directly to the gateway, enabling tailored data handling and automation workflows. Connectivity includes GSM/LTE, Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, RS-485, and digital I/O. The Fast Ethernet and RS-485 interfaces support daisy-chain configurations, while the expandable architecture accommodates additional analog or digital channels. An embedded web server supports browser-based access, and optional Modbus TCP and RTU compatibility enables integration with established industrial equipment.
