The Digital Input / Output (DIO) module collects discrete field signals and converts the resulting I/O data for transmission through Modbus TCP or Modbus RTU, depending on the selected device version. It provides 16 digital inputs and eight isolated solid-state outputs, enabling connected systems to monitor channel states as on/off or 1/0 values. Each high-impedance input incorporates hysteresis for improved noise immunity, while individual debouncing filters suppress unintended switching activity.
Electrical isolation separates the field interface from the system interface, and the eight MOSFET output channels are isolated from one another. DIO TCP models provide two 10/100 Mbit Ethernet ports and an embedded web server, while DIO RTU models use two RS-485 connections. The DIN-rail enclosure supports straightforward field installation, and the module can be integrated with Intheca gateways for centralized data handling.
