Iridium PNT provides authenticated positioning, navigation and timing through Iridium’s global network of 66 crosslinked low-Earth orbit satellites. It can operate as an independent source or as a complement to GPS and other GNSS services, maintaining trusted time and location data when conventional satellite navigation signals are unavailable, degraded or unreliable.
The high-power L-band signal can be up to 1,000 times stronger than traditional GNSS signals and can reach many indoor, urban, maritime and remote locations. Signal authentication and complex beam patterns increase resistance to jamming and spoofing, supporting critical defense assets, logistics networks, secure facilities and communications systems that must continue operating through interference or outages.
