The Iridium Certus™ 9770 is a compact midband module for integrating global voice and IP data into mobile and remote systems. It provides two high-quality voice lines, transmit speeds of up to 22 Kbps and receive speeds of up to 88 Kbps. The 185 g unit is suited to connected field equipment, SCADA, remote asset management and other applications that require more capability than narrowband messaging without the size of a broadband terminal.
The module supports passive omnidirectional antennas, simplifying installation on platforms that need connectivity while moving or operating in changing orientations. Its L-band link operates through Iridium’s crosslinked low-Earth orbit constellation for pole-to-pole coverage, and the hardware is designed to withstand vibration and demanding environmental conditions.
