This video from Red Cat Holdings, a developer of drone technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and situational awareness, showcases its Black Widow™ multirotor small Unmanned Aerial System (sUAS).
Red Cat’s Black Widow is a rucksack-portable, field-repairable dual-use system designed to provide ISR for defense and security. This short-range ISR platform weighs 4.25 lbs (1.93 kg), has a range of 5 miles (8 km), and operates with an endurance of over 45 minutes.
The Black Widow features Teledyne FLIR’s Hadron 640R+ camera, enabling it to gather EO/IR imagery at any time of day or night. It includes a hex-band radio from Doodle Labs, providing resilience in electronic warfare environments.
The U.S.-made platform also incorporates Aided Target Recognition (ATR) software by Sightline Intelligence and Reveal Farsight 3D Mapping software.
