Powell Electronics serves as an authorized distributor for Cinch’s rugged, high-performance Dura-Con product line. This video showcases these compact interconnect solutions, specifically designed for applications where weight and space are particularly sensitive, while ensuring maximum reliability.

Cinch’s Dura-Con connectors are among the most commonly used 0.05-inch pitch connectors, making them ideal for navigation systems, smart munitions, aerospace, oil and gas downhole equipment, and other demanding environments.

The Dura-Con connectors feature a unique twist pin contact design that expands outward, forming seven contact points when mated. This design ensures low contact resistance and delivers a reliable connection even under high shock and vibration conditions.

Cinch Dura-Con D-shaped Micro Miniature Connectors come in more than 5,000 configurations and meet MIL-DTL-83513 specifications. These connectors, available as plugs and sockets, feature metal shells for EMI shielding and enhanced durability, or plastic shells for lighter, more cost-effective options. They offer between nine and 100 positions.

Both metal and plastic versions are available with various termination options, including wire, solder cup, or PCB mount. PCB mount options include three solder pin lengths, straight and right-angle configurations, and a narrow right-angle variant for tighter panel spacing. Dura-Con MIL-DTL-83513 connectors are rated for 600 volts AC at sea level, with commercial and high-temperature models available.

Dura-Con Micro-D hermetic connectors incorporate a proprietary epoxy compound resin, offering a lower applied cost than glass-sealed alternatives while maintaining a seal under conditions of high vibration and shock, where glass seals might fail.

These connectors feature a Fluoro-silicone O-ring that seals against the panel, achieving a leak rate of less than 1 x 10⁻⁸ cc per second of helium across a 1-atmosphere pressure differential. The hermetic connectors use the same rugged twist pin contact design and are rated for 900 volts AC at sea level.

Additionally, Cinch provides Dura-Con strip connectors for applications requiring the utmost space and weight efficiency at a lower cost, as well as Dura-Con microedge connectors to support legacy edge mount applications. Cinch enables reliable connections.
