The flexible UX wireless charging mat can be deployed on the battlefield away from operators to launch and recover drones covertly. This improves operator safety and extends mission endurance by staging aircraft closer to the target areas.
Dismounted soldiers can roll up and carry the UX mat, hook it to a tactical battery, mark its location, and camouflage it in the field with snow, sand, or dirt. The drone can then land, recharge, and return to the target area at full power.
