Durabook, a global rugged mobile solutions brand owned by Twinhead International Corporation, has announced the Z14I-DX3 Rugged Mobile Laptop, featuring three integrated full HD displays and a workstation-class edge AI computing platform.

The system’s three 14-inch full HD displays allow field personnel to monitor maps, video streams, and operational telemetry simultaneously without switching between applications. Designed for rapid deployment, the integrated triple-screen setup keeps all three monitors securely attached, with the two side expansion displays folding inward for transport and unfolding into a unified command workspace. The displays feature 1,200-nit DynaVue sunlight-readable touchscreens equipped with capacitive multi-touch and built-in On-screen Display controls, supporting Finger/Water, Glove, and Stylus interaction modes with individual or synchronized brightness adjustments.

Under the hood, the Z14I-DX3 is powered by Intel Core Ultra processors featuring an integrated Intel AI Boost NPU. For intensive AI and visualization workloads, the platform offers optional discrete NVIDIA graphics, including the RTX A500, RTX 3500 Ada, or RTX 5000 Ada GPU, with the top-tier RTX 5000 Ada capable of delivering up to 682 TOPS of AI performance. Combined with the CPU and NPU, total system performance enables real-time image recognition, sensor data fusion, and localized data processing at the edge without relying solely on cloud-based processing.

“The Z14I-DX3 Rugged Mobile Laptop with its triple-screen display is a prime example of how Durabook goes beyond the expected upgrades of rugged computing technology,” said Twinhead CEO Fred Kao. “The Z14I-DX3 combines the capabilities expected from a Durabook rugged computer with an expansive multi-screen workspace and AI capability in a powerful edge computing platform.”

Engineered for harsh operational environments, the laptop meets MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461G military certifications. Target applications include defense and military deployments, public safety, emergency services, field engineering, utilities, maritime operations, and outdoor infrastructure management, where the unit can function as a mobile command center for coordinating drone control, live video feeds, diagnostics, and sensor data.

Connectivity options comprise Thunderbolt 4, dual RJ-45 Ethernet, two RS-232 serial ports, ExpressCard 54, Nano SIM, eSIM, and USB options ranging from USB 2.0 to USB 3.2 Gen 2, supported wirelessly by Intel Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and optional 4G LTE, 5G, or dedicated GPS. Security is reinforced through multi-factor authentication tools, including a smart card reader, fingerprint scanner, RFID/NFC reader, and an optional Windows Hello webcam, while toolless quick-release dual NVMe PCIe SSD drives enable rapid storage swaps to maintain operational continuity in mission-critical environments.
