MicroStrain has launched the new GV7 range of inertial sensors, designed to provide tactical-grade performance for challenging military and defense applications.
The GV7 series represents a significant advancement over the preceding GX5 series, and currently includes three options – a tilt sensor/VRU (vertical reference unit), an AHRS (attitude and heading reference system), and an INS (inertial navigation system).
The GV7 range continues to offer leading SWaP (size, weight and power)-optimized design, and shares the same footprint and precision mounting holes as the GX5 family for easy and efficient drop-in replacement. All GV7 sensors now feature a rugged IP68-rated enclosure, enabling them to withstand harsh operating conditions in a variety of environments.
These new inertial sensors deliver a more accurate, reliable, and efficient solution and have been enhanced in almost every performance metric. The table below summarizes the improvements over the GX5 series:
