LITEF is a developer of inertial sensing and navigation systems for military land vehicles and ground forces.
Defense Advancement is delighted to welcome LITEF on board as a supplier partner, and we will be highlighting their unique solutions and capabilities across our channels over the next 12 months.
Weāve just launched LITEF’s DAĀ supplier profile, which has been written and built by our team in collaboration with the company. The Silver profile showcases the companyās MEMS accelerometer, MEMS rotation rate sensor, and hybrid navigation systems for military and defense applications.
Read on to find out more:
The B-290 is a compact MEMS accelerometer that is ideal for users looking to built their own inertial sensors for military and defense applications, and is available in several variants to suit a range of requirements.
The ĀµCORS MEMS rotation rate sensor provides a reliable and cost-effective alternative to comparable FOG sensors, delivering high-precision output data even under high levels of shock and vibration. Temperature-compensated angular rate, angle increment or accumulated angle data can be output via various interface options, allowing the sensor to be easily integrated into a range of platforms.
The compact and lightweight ĀµFORS fibre optic rate sensor has been designed specifically for challenging battlefield conditions in all domains, and delivers compensated angle or rotation rate data via an asynchronous or synchronous digital IBIS interface. The ultra-reliable low-SWAP sensor has no moving parts, making it highly resistant to shock and vibration, and requires no periodic maintenance.
LITEF’s Land Navigator systems provide uninterrupted positioning and heading information for crews and guidance systems of tanks, armoured personnel carriers, and other military vehicles, and have been successfully deployed on board the Leopard 2 main battle tank. Supporting a range of NATO and commercial external GPS receivers, the hybrid inertial systems ensure reliable navigation even during jamming attacks.
