Creomagic Ltd has collaborated with RT LTA to deliver SkyCnet, an integrated solution that combines RT’s aerostat systems for continuous aerial surveillance with Creomagic’s secure tactical communications technologies.

The system is designed to support situational awareness for frontline forces, contributing to informed decision-making in operational environments. The companies introduced the integrated solution at the DEFEA Expo in Athens.

Developed for defense, homeland security, law enforcement, and border protection use cases, SkyCnet combines persistent aerial surveillance with secure communications. By integrating RT’s SkyStar™ aerostats and Creomagic’s radio technology, the system creates a tactical communication zone that extends operational range, supports connectivity for ground units, and facilitates reliable, real-time data transmission in both military and civilian contexts.

SkyCnet is structured as a rapidly deployable network infrastructure based on the SkyStar™ aerostat and Creomagic’s Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) communication technologies. It provides continuous 360-degree visual coverage and communication capabilities across varied terrain, including land, maritime, and urban environments, during both day and night operations.

The system is designed for high mobility and operational efficiency, with deployment possible in approximately 20 minutes by a two-person team. Its data links support the transmission of large data volumes, including live video and geospatial information, in scenarios such as beyond-line-of-sight operations and contested warfare (EW) environments. This enables continuous surveillance and communications over extended durations.

Alex Shapochnic, CEO of Creomagic, said, “SkyCnet was developed to precisely meet the critical communication demands of tactical forces. By combining Creomagic’s communications expertise with RT’s best-in-class, persistent ISR, SkyCnet acts as a significant force multiplier for contemporary tactical operations.”

RT’s CEO, Rami Shmueli, added, “Our partnership with Creomagic allows us to deliver resilient, high-performance communication solutions tailored to the needs of maritime, border security and HLS missions—a vital necessity today with the growing challenges along Europe’s borders. The integration of our technologies has resulted in a powerful solution that enhances situational awareness, enables rapid response, and ensures connectivity in even the most challenging environments. We believe this innovative solution will significantly support defense and HLS forces worldwide.”
