AEC has been appointed as an official sales and integration partner for Meltio to drive the adoption of metal additive manufacturing solutions across the United States.

The collaboration positions AEC as a key player in the distribution and system integration of Meltio’s disruptive laser metal deposition technology. By focusing on the industrial ecosystem, AEC will work alongside machine tool builders, robotic integrators, and academic institutions to implement these solutions into production-ready environments. Meltio’s process utilizes welding wire, which is recognized as a safe, clean, and cost-effective metal feedstock for 3D printing.

Bobby Larmer, CEO of AEC, stated, “By combining AEC’s deep experience in advanced robotic welding and turnkey automation systems with Meltio’s blue-laser, wire-fed metal 3D printing technology, we can deliver practical, production-ready additive solutions. This welding-wire-based process gives manufacturers a safer, cleaner, and more cost-effective path to high-deposition, near-net-shape production, repair, and hybrid manufacturing. It’s a strong fit with our mission to engineer real-world solutions that improve performance, flexibility, and ROI for our customers.”

The partnership represents a strategic expansion for Meltio in the American market, where its technology is already utilized in demanding sectors such as energy and heavy industry. These applications help manufacturers reduce lead times and optimize material usage through reliable, scalable results.

Gabriel Ortiz, America’s Channel Manager at Meltio, added, “Manufacturers today, particularly in challenging industrial sectors like oil & gas, require additive solutions that are reliable, scalable, and ready for production. Meltio’s wire-laser metal 3D printing system delivers efficiency, flexibility, and operational performance in real-world industrial environments. Partnering with AEC ensures we can extend these benefits to more U.S. manufacturers, helping them optimize processes, reduce costs, and implement production-ready additive manufacturing solutions across diverse sectors.”
