Military Aviation & Air Dominance Summit 2027
The 9th Annual Military Aviation & Air Dominance Summit will bring together senior experts and decision-makers from the U.S. Military Services, Department of War, international partners, acquisition authorities, and industry for discussions on the future of military aviation and air dominance.
Taking place January 20-21, 2027, the summit will focus on strategies, initiatives, and emerging defense capabilities intended to enhance lethality and air superiority. Against a changing global security landscape, discussions will consider the evolving balance between manned aviation, unmanned systems, and the divestiture of legacy platforms.
The program will cover aircraft modernization, acquisition, readiness, digital engineering, advanced manufacturing, and the technologies supporting current and future military aviation fleets.
The event operates under Chatham House Rule, with no press or recordings permitted.

The Military Aviation & Air Dominance Summit will take place January 20-21, 2027 in Huntsville, Alabama.
Themes
Topics scheduled for the 2027 summit include keeping pace with changing warfare through PAE Maneuver Air and engineering future air supremacy through digital dominance.
The program will examine the MV-75 FLRAA Cheyenne and future assault aviation, Black Hawk modernization for the networked and UAS-enabled battlefield, and MRO, advanced manufacturing, and industrial base readiness for aging and next-generation airframes.
Other themes include allied air power, interoperability, innovation, Naval Aviation acquisition, and the provision of air support, assault support, and aerial reconnaissance to sustain the MAGTF warfighting edge.
What’s On?
Attendees will hear from senior military, government, academic, and industry representatives about strategies and technologies shaping military aviation.
Sessions will examine how military services are working with industry and international partners to modernize aviation platforms and aircraft technologies. This includes plans to field the MV-75 FLRAA Cheyenne, modernize the Black Hawk fleet, and align Naval Aviation’s Portfolio Acquisition Executive construct with its Warfighting Acquisition System.
The summit will also address the industrial base and readiness requirements associated with legacy and next-generation fleets. Areas of discussion include MRO throughput, advanced manufacturing, forging and composite supply chains, and maintaining aircraft mission capability as new platforms enter service.
Digital engineering, model-based systems engineering, and digital twins will also be considered in the context of aviation design, sustainment, and training.\
Networking opportunities and interactive sessions will give participants opportunities to engage with speakers and other attendees throughout the summit.
Tickets and Government Attendance
The summit is open and complimentary to DoW and Federal employees and is considered an educational and training forum.
Industry and academia attendees are charged an admission fee.
