ACI’s Government Contracting Forum on DoD Procurement, Compliance & Innovation will examine the changing landscape of defense acquisition, procurement reform, and contractor compliance as the Department of Defense continues efforts to modernize the defense industrial base.
The conference will focus on the implications of the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO), described as the most significant rewrite of the Federal Acquisition Regulations in more than 40 years. Discussions will address evolving domestic sourcing requirements, acquisition strategies, supply chain resilience, cybersecurity expectations, and the growing risk of stop-work orders and contract terminations.
The event is designed for professionals involved in government contracting, procurement, compliance, legal advisory, cybersecurity, and defense acquisition. Sessions will explore both the operational challenges and emerging opportunities tied to regulatory reform and modernization efforts across the defense sector.
ACI’s Government Contracting Forum on DoD Procurement, Compliance & Innovation will take place on December 8–9, 2026.
The conference agenda will focus on regulatory reform, modernization of the defense industrial base, and the future of DoD acquisition and procurement.
Key themes include the real-world implications of the RFO and GSA consolidation efforts on contractor compliance and acquisition strategy, as well as the impact of Executive Orders on procurement, cybersecurity, and supply chain resilience.
Additional sessions will examine how government and industry are strengthening cybersecurity, AI adoption, and data-driven defense systems, including discussions surrounding Zero-Trust Architecture and large language models (LLMs).
The program will also address litigation risks connected to Executive Orders, bid protests, evolving compliance challenges, contract terminations, stop-work orders, and changes in federal grant funding priorities.
The two-day program will feature discussions focused on high-stakes procurement, contracting, legal, and compliance issues affecting the defense contracting community.
Sessions will examine the future of DoD acquisition and procurement while exploring practical approaches to risk mitigation in a changing regulatory environment. Attendees can expect detailed analysis of compliance developments, sourcing requirements, cybersecurity expectations, and operational changes impacting contractors and subcontractors.
The conference will also provide networking opportunities with government officials, defense industry representatives, legal professionals, and compliance specialists involved in acquisition and procurement strategy.
Previous editions of the program have focused on practical and detailed discussions surrounding DoD contracting and compliance challenges rather than introductory-level overviews. The conference has examined acquisition reform, procurement modernization, contractor risk management, and regulatory developments affecting the defense industrial base.
The event has also been positioned to provide attendees with year-end updates and guidance ahead of the new fiscal and procurement cycle.
