About Avalon Australian International Airshow 2027

The Avalon Australian International Airshow 2027 will return to Avalon Airport from 23–28 February 2027, bringing together the aviation, aerospace, and defense sectors for six days of trade exhibitions, aircraft displays, conferences, and public airshow experiences.

Held biennially since 1992, the event combines an international aerospace and defense industry exposition with large-scale public flying displays and static aircraft exhibitions. Avalon attracts exhibitors, military delegations, government representatives, aviation professionals, enthusiasts, and members of the public from Australia and around the world.

The event features a mix of military, commercial, and recreational aviation, showcasing developments across aerospace, defense capability, aviation technology, and industry innovation. Previous editions have included aircraft such as the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor, F-35A Lightning II, Antonov An-124, and the Republic of Korea Air Force’s Black Eagles aerobatic team.

Themes

Avalon 2027 will focus on developments across the aviation, aerospace, and defense industries, bringing together participants from government, military, academia, and industry.

Themes across the event include aerospace innovation, defense capability, commercial aviation, military aviation, aviation careers and workforce development, aircraft technology, and international industry collaboration. The event will also highlight Australia’s aviation history and future aerospace capabilities.

What’s On?

The event will feature an international trade exposition with more than 900 participating exhibitor companies showcasing products, services, and technologies to national and international audiences.

Trade Day attendees will have access to industry exhibitions, conference sessions, networking opportunities, and static and flying aircraft displays. The program is designed to support professional engagement across the aviation, aerospace, and defense sectors.

The public airshow program will include flying demonstrations featuring military and civilian aircraft, alongside static aircraft displays where visitors can view aircraft up close. Aircraft on display are expected to range from vintage aircraft and homebuilt designs to helicopters, commercial airliners, and modern military jets.

Additional public activities include live entertainment, food vendors, family-focused attractions, and the Friday Night Alight evening program.

The Avalon 2027 Trade Days are expected to bring together representatives from government, defense organizations, military services, academia, and the global aerospace and aviation industries.

The event’s conference and exhibition program will provide opportunities for attendees to engage with industry leaders, technical specialists, and defense and aviation professionals from Australia, the Indo-Pacific region, and international markets.
