The Z3Cam-4K Z8550 is an H.265 4K IP camera combining Z3 Technology video compression with Sony’s FCB-ER8550 camera module. It streams 2160p30 video over Gigabit Ethernet and provides 30x zoom in 4K mode or 40x zoom at 1080p30 using Sony Super Resolution Zoom. External synchronization enables multiple cameras to be genlocked, while the high-sensitivity image processor, visibility enhancer, day-and-night ICR, autofocus, and detail-aware noise reduction support security and surveillance imaging in changing light and high-motion conditions.
The Z3Cam-4K Z8550 encodes H.265, H.264, or MJPEG video without separate encoding equipment and supports simultaneous streams or recordings at different resolutions and bitrates. Available outputs include RTP, RTSP, MPEG-2 TS, and RTMP, with RTMP and YouTube Live support limited to H.264 mode. Operators can configure the camera through the Z3 web interface and control it using Sony VISCA commands over IP, Pelco-D PTZ commands, or ONVIF Profile S. Additional capabilities include unicast and multicast streaming, compressed USB recording, Power over Ethernet, and compatibility with the ZEUS HE265-DEC decoder.
