The KG-250X is a low-SWaP NSA-certified HAIPE Type 1 Inline Network Encryptor (INE) using the latest in secure IP encryption technology to protect up to TS/SCI communications. Incorporating state-of-the-art cyber defense technologies, including Viasat's Trusted Cyber Sensor (TCS) network monitoring service, it is designed to route secure traffic more efficiently while reducing network overhead, thanks to Embedded Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) and Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM) capabilities.
The device is MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-461-compliant, and is designed to withstand high-altitude airborne environments. It is available with copper-only interfaces or as a variant that allows mixed fiber and copper connectivity, and can accommodate high-density 1U rackmount stacking.
