The TrakkaBeam® TLX is a high-performance airborne searchlight engineered for law enforcement, defense, search and rescue, and special mission aviation operations. Utilizing custom-designed optics, the system delivers 25% greater beam intensity and light volume than previous TrakkaBeam models while maintaining uniform illumination across the entire beam pattern. The TLX also incorporates enhanced power management technology that reduces lamp power consumption by approximately 10% and lowers overall system weight through a redesigned power control architecture, improving operational efficiency without compromising performance.
Qualified to DO-160G standards and compliant with DO-178 requirements, the TLX integrates embedded absolute encoders that provide instant position recognition, faster searchlight response, and improved pointing accuracy. Operators can select from up to six filters in less than one second, including covert IR illumination for NVG-equipped operations as well as visible white, amber, green, red, and blue light options. The system maintains form, fit, and function compatibility with most A800 installations, enabling straightforward upgrade programs while preserving existing aircraft wiring and mounting arrangements.
