The TrakkaBeam® A800 is an airborne searchlight system designed for law enforcement, defense, search and rescue, and special mission aviation operations. Certified to DO-160 and MIL-STD requirements, the system combines advanced Xenon illumination technology with custom-engineered optics to deliver a highly uniform beam profile across both narrow and wide fields of view. The optical design minimizes stray light, eliminates the bright central hotspot and wide-angle dark zones common to conventional searchlights, and provides consistent illumination for improved target acquisition and tracking during demanding airborne missions.
The A800 incorporates the industry’s first embedded in-flight multi-filter system, enabling operators to switch between up to six different filters from within the cockpit without interrupting mission operations. Available filter options include visible-spectrum and covert infrared configurations that can reduce glare caused by fog, snow, and moisture while enhancing target visibility in challenging environmental conditions. The system also offers high reliability through a proven low-maintenance architecture, integrated camera slaving capability, and compatibility with a broad range of airborne EO/IR systems used throughout defense, public safety, and security operations.
