Aspheric Lenses
Torrent Photonics manufactures precision aspheric lenses for defense optical systems using in-house grind-and-polish, CNC fabrication, metrology and finishing capabilities. Its team works with customers early in the design process to improve manufacturability and optical performance.
A single aspheric surface can often replace multiple spherical elements, reducing component count, size, weight and assembly complexity. By controlling the lens profile, aspheres also reduce spherical aberration, supporting sharper imaging and improved beam control.
