The XM204 is an easily-transportable anti-vehicle munition system designed to provide effective counter-mobility against main battle tanks and other heavy wheeled and tracked vehicles, offering four top-attack munitions per launcher and a 50 meter radius strike area. Currently in production, the XM204 has been successfully tested against T-72 tanks at Yuma Proving Grounds, and is the only top-attack counter mobility system available to NATO.
The system provides a variety of enhanced safety and risk mitigation features to minimize the risk to personnel and noncombatants, including a visual safety indicator, a 30-minute arming delay, and multiple self-destruct period options of 4 hours, 48 hours, or 15 days. It is highly concealable, resistant to harsh environments, and operates under GPS-denied conditions.
Weighing just 38 kg (84 lbs.), the XM204 can be easily carried by two people, and is transportable in any ground vehicle or cargo aircraft. It is intuitive and easy to learn, taking less than five minutes to emplace and arm and requiring a training and certification time of only 8 hours.
