OptoMedia's 1.25G multimode optical transceiver features a Mini SFF design with a 1 x 11 pin package and an LC connector. The low-power module is ideal for Gigabit Ethernet and Fiber Channel communications applications where space is at a premium or where high connection density is required.

The transmitter section utilizes a Class 1 VCSEL laser with a wavelength of 850 nm, and the receiver incorporates an integrated GaAs detector preamplifier (IDP) mounted in an optical header, a limiting post-amplifier IC LVPECL logic interface for simplified connection to external circuitry.
