Micropol’s CAMO Cable Monitor protects against information wire-tapping of fiber optic cables by monitoring for changes in optical characteristics due to factors such as pressure variations, mechanical strain, vibration, and temperature changes.

The system can operate at either 1310 nm or 780 nm for WDM systems, and facilitates multiplexing into transmission systems operating at 1310 nm or 1550 nm. Users can set alarms based on trigger events within a specific time frame, as well as for attenuation exceeding specified limits.
