Elwave's Tetrapulse is a compact real-time underwater imaging sensor that utilizes proprietary electric field technology to provide advanced detection, classification and localisation capabilities with centimeter-level spatial resolution. It is capable of detecting metallic and non-metallic objects both on the seabed and buried, and is highly effective in fresh or salt water and in clear or turbid conditions.
Utilizing an array of up to four electrodes with cables up to 7 meters in length, the modular system can be incorporated into a wide range of underwater vehicles, and is also highly suited to fixed-site installations. It is rated for depths of down to 300 meters.
Octopulse is ideal for a wide range of defense and security applications, including mine countermeasures, anti-submarine warfare, underwater intruder detection, and search and rescue.
