The IQ Prime (V04309) is an integrated Battery Management System (BMS) for small-to-medium packs that require compact control and protection hardware. Designed for 3S to 16S configurations, it monitors cell voltage, temperature, and pack current while providing 180 mA passive balancing. Its onboard MOSFETs manage charge, discharge, pre-charge, and pre-discharge operations. Variants are available with MOSFET voltage ratings suited to the required chemistry and pack voltage.
The system supports continuous current up to 50 A and accepts as many as three NTC inputs for cell-temperature sensing. Redundant voltage and thermal protections are complemented by a heater drive with 5 A current sensing. An optional controllable secondary safety fuse strengthens the protection architecture, which also includes redundant charge, discharge, and short-circuit safeguards. Pack current is measured through an onboard R-shunt, while microprocessor-based processing calculates state of charge and state of health. Communication is available through a non-isolated CAN or SMBus interface.
