Atrenne’s VITA 46.11 Chassis Manager acts as the intelligent core for system reliability, monitoring overall system health and executing corrective actions to maintain continuous operation. The controller provides redundant IPMB for high availability and comprehensive control of power management, system cooling, event sensor logging, electronic keying, and card hot-swap monitoring.
VITA 46.11-based and SOSA®-aligned, the manager supports Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 IPMCs, with three independent temperature-based fan-control zones. Automated thermal responses include fan ramp, FRU isolation, and chassis power-down. Additional functions include event-driven LED control, user-programmable GPIO, and monitoring and reporting of payload voltages. Connectivity and management interfaces include RS-232, two 1000Base-T Ethernet ports, CLI, RMCP, SNMP, and HTTP. Dual redundant IPMB-A and IPMB-B buses are implemented. A redundant chassis controller capability is planned for a future release.
