AMI's compact and lightweight laser spot tracker modules are ideal for mission-critical rangefinding, target designation, and targeting support applications, and are optimized for 1.06µm. The modules feature temperature-controlled detectors with built-in front-end electronics on an SMT board, with a second PCB for analog and digital processing circuits.
Each of the detector's five individual channels are digitized with a high-speed A-D converter, and data is output via a serial digital interface. An adaptive threshold control allows performance to be adjusted for optimum signal-to-noise operation, and power management is used to reduce consumption.
An emulator test board is available with RS232 and RS422 interfaces for easy evaluation and prototyping.
