UXV Technologies and Aktyvus Photonics have established a strategic partnership to integrate advanced laser technologies into stabilized imaging systems for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV).
The collaboration focuses on embedding laser target designators from Aktyvus Photonics into UXV Technologies’ gimbal solutions. This integration combines sensor capabilities with laser designation in a compact, lightweight format. By reducing resource requirements, the technology allows smaller drone platforms to perform precision targeting, significantly shortening the time between identifying a target and delivering an effect.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Vilnius during a high-level event held alongside the Danish State Visit to Lithuania. During the ceremony, UXV Technologies introduced the Optroxa GMB-2000 LTD, the latest entry in its series of stabilized gimballed cameras, which features the integrated Aktyvus Photonics laser target designator.
Laurynas Šatas, CEO of Aktyvus Photonics, stated, “By combining pioneering laser designation with UXV Technologies’ gimbals, we are addressing real operational needs. UXV Technologies’ strong focus on modular, open architectures and innovation makes them an ideal partner and supports the strengthening of European defense cooperation and sovereignty in critical technologies such as laser systems.”
The partnership highlights a broader effort to advance European capabilities in critical defense technologies through cross-border industrial cooperation.
Steven Friberg, CEO of UXV Technologies, commented, “We are excited to expand our collaboration with Aktyvus Photonics by integrating their advanced laser technology. With this cutting-edge stabilized gimballed camera system, UXV Technologies is reducing the time from target identification to effect and enabling a truly innovative operational capability from drone platforms. This partnership also reflects a shared commitment to advancing European capabilities in critical defense technologies.”
