The 5th Annual Military Vehicle Systems Summit, hosted by the Defense Strategies Institute, is scheduled to take place on November 13-14, 2025, at Michigan Central in Detroit. Register here >>

The summit will convene senior-level experts and decision-makers from the Military Services, Industry, and Academia to explore both current and future innovations in military ground systems.

Given the priority placed on rapid modernization and continued prototyping, particularly for platforms such as the XM30 and the M-1E3 Abrams main battle tank, a key focus will be on the Department of Defense’s strategy to leverage commercial innovation. This is intended to increase the overall lethality, mobility, and survivability of next-generation ground platforms.

Key topics scheduled for discussion include fielding advanced technologies to modernize, sustain, and transform the Army’s premier ground combat systems, and supporting the Soldier in the development and acquisition of future combat vehicles like the XM30 and M-1E3 Abrams.

The event will also address rapidly fielding new ground vehicle technologies and warfighting innovations in support of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF).

Further sessions will cover leveraging Human Machine Integration to drive Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) innovation to bolster warfighter performance and reduce risk, and providing OEM perspectives on next-generation military ground vehicle development.

Attendees will discuss leveraging Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) for systems upgradability to help drive the next-generation vehicle fleet, operating infantry vehicles in the Indo-Pacific, and advancing powertrains and electronics for current and future military ground vehicles.
