QinetiQ will build three additional SPECTRE next generation full spectrum hyperspectral prototype sensors for the U.S. Army under a new contact award worth $24 million.

The task order will be managed under the C5 Other Transaction Authority (OTA) by the Consortium Management Group, Inc. (CMG). QinetiQ developed and demonstrated the state-of-the-art prototype sensor for a U.S. Army Program of Record.

SPECTRE’s compact, integrated capability enables multi-mission Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) and crewed aircraft to operate in parallel to other critical sensor payloads and weapons.

“QinetiQ is proud to continue our support of the U.S. Army and its mission to provide ready, prompt, and sustained land dominance,” said Mary Williams, President of QinetiQ Inc.

“We look forward to ensuring that the U.S. Army has modernized capabilities that can be employed on crewed and uncrewed aircraft and ground combat vehicles and developing these technologies for its missions in the years to come.”
