tlmNexus has been awarded a contract from MBDA to develop a proof of concept weapon lifing service in support of MBDA’s munition life extension program.

Known for their Queen’s Award-winning Resolve software, tlmNexus will use its expertise to support the assessment of the safe operating life of advanced munitions. Innovative data collection and analysis methods will help to optimise the operational life of each munition and maximise the time on the aircraft, leading to potential cost savings for the UK Ministry of Defence.

The services and solutions in the company’s portfolio are designed to evolve in-line with the ever-changing and complex technologically advanced requirements in the defence world. Working with Defence Equipment & Support and MBDA, tlmNexus aims to provide the best solutions and obtain the best possible value for money.

MBDA – jointly owned by Airbus (37.5%), BAE Systems (37.5%), and Leonardo (25%) – is the only European defence group capable of designing and producing missiles and missile systems that correspond to the full range of current and future operational needs of the three armed forces (land, sea and air).

In total, the group offers a range of 45 missile systems and countermeasures products already in operational service and more than 15 others currently in development.
