SNC Contracted to Deliver US Navy Sensor Technology

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) has been awarded a five-year $716.8 million contract to provide components and engineering support for the US Navy’s Multi-Intelligence Sensor Development (MISD) suite.

The MISD suite is designed to support sensor tasking and data management functions for manned and unmanned aircraft platforms.

“SNC is proud to continue providing high-band aircraft sensor components to the Navy in support of the MISD program,” said Tim Owings executive vice president of SNC’s Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area. “We look forward to providing new and innovative solutions for the challenges and opportunities ahead.”

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite quanitity (IDIQ) MSD contract includes the procurement of MISD hardware and deployed system engineering services. SNC will perform work on this contract from its integration facilities in Sparks, Nevada and Englewood, Colorado.
