Pierce Aerospace has announced a partnership with Prudent American Technologies in order to expand Pierce Aerospace’s manufacturing capabilities and increase Prudent American’s Internet of Things (IoT) development capabilities.

The team, lead by Prudent American and including Guardian Systems, a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), was recently awarded a U.S. Navy Seaport-NxG contract which gives the firms access to bid on Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) contracts, covering 23 functional areas with procurement in excess of half a billion dollars annually.

Through the partnership, Pierce Aerospace expands its capabilities to build and deliver dual-use Remote ID and Combat ID products with Prudent American’s 70 years of manufacturing experience and 100,000 square feet of manufacturing facilities in Lexington, Kentucky and Decatur, Alabama. Prudent American expands its IoT capabilities via Pierce Aerospace’s background in IoT development, standards, system integration, and dual-use product innovation.

“Our recent award of the U.S. Navy Seaport-NxG contract provides the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps with a unique team to support next generation Battlefield of IoT solutions through the combination of Pierce Aerospace’s IoT development and Prudent American’s proven practices in rapid and lean manufacturing,” said Aaron Pierce, CEO, Pierce Aerospace. “This combination provides the U.S. Navy with a winning set of agile capabilities.”

“IoT and big data are transforming modern warfare as organizations gather information through a variety of platforms, from aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles to weapon systems and ground transportation,” said Michael Poovey, Director of Sales, Prudent American Technologies. “Bringing these systems to market requires sophisticated technology, complex designs, and rapid production of highly engineered injection molded plastics and precision machined products. The team of Pierce Aerospace, Guardian Systems, and Prudent American has been created to deliver the high quality, made-in-the-USA solutions that are needed to explore new opportunities, mitigate threats, and respond to dangerous situations.”

“As a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, we see a bright future with incredible opportunity by partnering with Pierce Aerospace and Prudent American Technologies, allowing us to better serve our military customers,” said Wil Busby, CEO, Guardian Systems, LLC.
