DT Research has launched four new 6-inch and 8-inch military tactical tablets, the DT361WF, DT361ND, DT381WF, and DT381ND, developed to support modern defense forces and mission-critical field operations.

These rugged, field-ready tablets provide advanced night vision capabilities with NVIS B-compliant displays in two specialized modes: 0.7 nit for use with night vision goggles, and 20 nits for direct human-eye viewing.

Both configurations ensure clear readability in complete darkness without disrupting night vision systems. Designed for uninterrupted operation, the tablets feature hot-swappable batteries, meet IP65, MIL-STD-810H, and MIL-STD-461G standards for durability, and incorporate robust security measures, including ARM TrustZone® and NIST compliance.

The DT361 and DT381 tablet series provide the option of two operating systems. WF models run Microsoft® Windows® 11 IoT Enterprise and ND models are powered by Android® 13. Customers can select IP-rated military connectors, such as Fischer, Glenair, Bernier, and ODU designs for flexible integration of Ethernet, USB, and power connections.

DT Research’s handheld tablets also feature either Intel® Core i3-N355 or Qualcomm® 6490 processors, ensuring long product lifecycles and reliable field performance.

The DT361 and DT381 are designed to support advanced tactical software platforms, including WINTAK (Windows Tactical Assault Kit) and ATAK (Android Tactical Assault Kit). These solutions provide defense forces with a robust digital foundation for mission execution.

DT Research’s compact and powerful tablets ensure secure geospatial mapping, real-time data sharing, and collaborative planning across units, aiding reconnaissance, UAV operations, and situational awareness.

These tablets strengthen command and control (C2) by integrating battlefield communications and Blue Force Tracking, and also extend mission capabilities to field medical support and remote vehicle operations. DT Research’s technology helps military forces make faster, smarter decisions in dynamic environments during mission-critical operations.

Robert Droppa, General Manager of Government and Healthcare Solutions at DT Research, stated, “These new military tactical tablets reflect our leadership in developing trusted, mission-ready computing solutions for all branches of the military.

“This next generation series of tactical handhelds give defense forces worldwide a secure, rugged, and versatile tablet they can rely on in the most demanding conditions. Importantly, these tablets are fully TAA compliant and built with complete design control, ensuring a trusted and transparent supply chain that provides military customers with confidence in their security and reliability.”

In terms of applications, the DT361 and DT381 series extend beyond defense contexts, empowering field workers in utilities, agriculture, and land management. The tablets deliver robust performance for data collection, drone operations, and disaster-zone communications.

The durability and NVIS-capable displays are also well-suited for use in low-light environments, such as cockpits, and for public safety operations, where connectivity and mission-critical performance are crucial.

DT Research’s DT361WF, DT361ND, DT381WF, and DT381ND rugged tablets, showcased at DSEI London 2025, are now available through authorized DT Research partners and resellers worldwide.
