Neousys Technology has introduced the SEMIL-2200/2200GC series, an extreme-rugged, fanless AI GPU computer engineered for defense and military applications where adherence to MIL-STD compliance is essential.

Neousys Launches Extreme-Rugged AI GPU Computers for Mission-Critical Applications

The company, a provider of rugged embedded computers, designed the new series for mission-critical use. The SEMIL-2200 is a half-rack computer that supports Intel 14th, 13th, and 12th Gen Core processors, while the SEMIL-2200GC is a 19-inch 2U rackmount edge AI platform that further integrates NVIDIA L4 GPU acceleration. This combination delivers the powerful AI inference and data processing performance required by next-generation autonomous defense systems, including unmanned vehicles and C4ISR networks.

The SEMIL-2200GC series is designed to operate in environments where conventional GPU servers would fail. It is MIL-STD-461G compliant (CE102, RE102, RS103) for electromagnetic compatibility in ground applications and MIL-STD-1275D compliant for reliable power stability in vehicle and mobile deployments. The series is also MIL-STD-810H tested for shock, vibration, and wide temperature ranges.

To enable 24/7 operation in extreme environments, the design features an IP69K-rated, fully sealed, fanless enclosure for complete water and dust protection. By eliminating mechanical fans and implementing a patented thermal design, the SEMIL series supports fanless wide-temperature operation from -40°C to 70°C, with GPU performance sustained up to its 58°C throttling point.

The SEMIL-2200 series is built for defense contractors, system integrators, and solution providers who require rugged AI computing at the tactical edge. Typical applications include Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) for reconnaissance, logistics, and autonomous mobility, Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs) supporting mine inspection and maritime patrol operations, and C4ISR/C5ISR platforms requiring reliable, high-throughput AI data processing.

Brian Hsieh, Product Manager at Neousys Technology, said, “Defense environments demand computing platforms that deliver performance without compromise. With the SEMIL-2200 series, we’re providing a fully sealed, MIL-STD-validated AI GPU computer that enables contractors and integrators to deploy autonomy and intelligence at the tactical edge, on land or at sea.”

The company states that the SEMIL-2200 series bridges the gap between industrial embedded computers and costly bespoke military servers.
