The 9th annual Military Additive Manufacturing Summit & Technology Showcase (MILAM) is taking place on February 11-12, with a Workshop Day on February 13th, at the Tampa Convention Center in Florida.

MILAM 2025 is a premier event for military, aerospace, and defense professionals dedicated to exploring the forefront of 3D printing technologies.

Each year, the event serves as a key platform for military, government, international partners, and industry professionals to connect, collaborate, and strategize on integrating additive technologies.

The event aims to enhance current capabilities and maintain competitiveness across all aspects of defense. The summit offers the unique opportunity to expand networks, explore diverse industry products and services, and gain insights into the future of global AM technologies.

Key topics of discussion include creating the Department of Defense’s largest printable part repository to overcome the limitations of traditional acquisition systems, and employing tactical additive solutions across the services to meet additive manufacturing requirements for modern warfare.

Additional areas of focus involve validating additive manufacturing technology to address maintenance operations across the fleet, and securing the global communication network in low Earth orbit – emphasizing how industry can bolster the U.S. Space Force’s supply chain through next-generation space capabilities.

The agenda also stresses the importance of collaboration between private and public stakeholders to drive printing innovation within the Army, advancing air superiority through pioneering U.S. Air Force efforts in additive manufacturing, and leveraging additive manufacturing to ensure materiel readiness for Marine Air-Ground Task Force expeditionary environments.

The discussion will further examine the strategic impact of additive manufacturing and 3D printing on global military operations.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • GEN (Ret.) Edward M. Daly, USA, DALY Consulting & Logistics, Former Commanding General, U.S. Army Materiel Command
  • Lt Gen Donna Shipton, USAF, Commander, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center
