Micropolis Robotics has officially debuted its heavy-duty Autonomous Logistics Platform at the UMEX 2026 exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
The system is a fully autonomous industrial robot developed on the proprietary M01 platform. It is engineered specifically for use in controlled environments such as manufacturing facilities, industrial zones, and logistics corridors. By facilitating the movement of goods and equipment between factories and operational units, the platform aims to reduce reliance on manual transportation while boosting safety and productivity.
Fareed Aljawhari, Founder and CEO of Micropolis, said, “The reveal of our Autonomous Logistics Platform at UMEX in Abu Dhabi marks a major milestone for Micropolis. Built on our M01 platform, the system delivers industrial-grade payload performance, extended operational endurance, and advanced autonomy to serve real logistics needs in controlled industrial areas. We are proud to reveal the platform on EDGE Group’s stand, reflecting aligned ambitions to accelerate next-generation robotics and sovereign innovation from the UAE.”
The technical specifications of the platform are designed to meet the rigors of heavy industrial operations. It features a payload capacity of 4 to 5 tons and utilizes a 400V high-voltage battery architecture. Depending on terrain, mission cycles, and load profiles, the robot provides an operational range of 12 to 18 hours, making it a viable solution for high-frequency transport missions across large industrial campuses.
Navigation and decision-making are handled by the Micropolis Rule-Based Community Autonomous System. This proprietary autonomy stack is integrated with several management layers to ensure end-to-end automation. The Micropolis Mission Planner handles route generation and task assignment, while the STEERAI Fleet Management System provides real-time monitoring, operational analytics, and multi-robot coordination. Furthermore, the platform integrates with existing Warehouse Management Systems to connect autonomous missions directly with inventory operations.
This technology is targeted at industrial operators who require traceable and scheduled autonomous operations in restricted facilities. Potential applications include factory-to-factory transport, logistics within secured industrial zones, and movement through dedicated manufacturing corridors.
Micropolis, a trusted develeper in unmanned ground vehicles and AI-driven security solutions listed on the NYSE, showcased the platform on the stand of EDGE Group, a prominent advanced technology and defense manufacturer in the UAE.
