Getac Technology Corporation has introduced its next generation of fully rugged tablets, the UX10 and UX10-IP, which are part of Getac’s expanding lineup of Copilot+ PCs and are designed for versatile, reliable performance in challenging environments.

The UX10 model is aimed at professionals in the defense, manufacturing, utilities, public safety, and transportation & logistics industries. Its compact size, light weight, and security features are suited for activities such as drone control and intelligence gathering in defense. For manufacturing, the on-device NPU supports predictive maintenance using generative and discriminative AI models, while extensive connectivity aids real-time process monitoring.

In the utilities sector, the wide temperature range and AI processing are designed for data-intensive mapping and image analysis. Public safety professionals can use the on-device NPU for applications like real-time transcription and video analysis to assist in critical situations. For transportation and logistics, the UX10 can be mounted in vehicle cabins for navigation and inventory management and is built to operate in environments with large temperature swings.

The UX10-IP is specifically designed for emergency healthcare and public safety. This model has a sealed design that allows for repeated cleaning and disinfection to help prevent the spread of infection. An easy-to-clean rubber hand strap is also available as an option for emergency services use.

The tablets are powered by an Intel Core Ultra 200V Series Processor and an Intel AI Boost NPU capable of up to 48 TOPS (Trillion Operations Per Second). This hardware is intended to accelerate AI-driven tasks and real-time analytics. The tablets feature up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory, up to 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD storage, and Wi-Fi 7. They also include two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports for high-speed data transfer and offer Windows Hello face authentication, with an optional fingerprint reader available. The new devices also have improved power efficiency and an optional slimmer and lighter bridge battery for enhanced mobility.

James Hwang, President of Getac Technology Corporation, stated, “The next gen UX10 and UX10-IP give enterprises a uniquely versatile platform to bring advanced AI into the field. Their compact form factor, rugged reliability, and deep customization options make them ideal for running generative AI and machine learning proof of concepts across industries, from predictive maintenance in manufacturing to real-time situational awareness in public safety.

“By combining Copilot+ PC capabilities with extensive extension and configuration possibilities, the UX10 series empowers organizations to safely innovate, adapt, and scale AI applications in challenging environments.”

The UX10 and UX10-IP will be available in October.
