Accelerate Defense Modernization through Strategic Sourcing
Discover cutting-edge solutions from leading global suppliers
Get SAT, a prominent provider of satellite communication terminals, in collaboration with its local partner Rangsons, has been awarded a multi-million-dollar contract. The agreement involves supplying more than 100 Micro SAT terminals for a major defense program in South Asia.
The program includes the delivery of Get SAT’s Micro SAT, a compact and ruggedized SATCOM-on-the-move terminal specifically designed for mobile platforms. This all-in-one terminal measures 28 x 25 x 7.5 cm and weighs 8 kg, making it one of the smallest in its class. These terminals are intended to serve as a critical communication backbone for Ministry of Defense (MoD) operations in both mobile and remote environments.
The solution will be integrated with India’s military satellite constellation, operated by ISRO. This integration aims to ensure secure, high-throughput connectivity, meeting the customer’s requirements and supporting real-time communication even in challenging conditions.
Over half of the ordered units have already been delivered, with some already installed and operational in the field.
A key aspect of this program is that manufacturing and integration are being carried out in India. This aligns with the “Make in India” initiative, which seeks to advance indigenous defense capabilities. Rangsons, an established Indian partner in the defense and aerospace sectors, is leading these in-country efforts.
Shri Pavan Ranga, CEO at Rangsons Aerospace, commented, “We are proud to work alongside Get SAT in delivering these advanced systems. Beyond manufacturing, our team provides full lifecycle support—from integration and field deployment to ongoing service and sustainment. This program reflects our continued commitment to delivering high-quality, locally supported solutions to strategic defense customers.”
Kfir Benjamin, CEO of Get SAT, also stated, “This award marks a significant milestone in our continued expansion in Asia and strengthens our long-standing partnership with Rangsons. We are proud to support defense modernization efforts in the region with agile, high-performance SATCOM solutions—manufactured locally and built for mission-critical reliability.”
