ARX Robotics UK has demonstrated the operational maturity and versatility of its advanced land technologies during Project Convergence-Capstone 6 in California.
Held at the U.S. Army’s National Training Center at Fort Irwin, the event was the largest experiment in the history of Project Convergence, the U.S. Army’s flagship modernization and experimentation campaign. Led by the U.S. Army’s 4th Infantry Division, it brought together allied forces from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand and tested more than 100 emerging battlefield technologies at operational scale.
ARX Robotics UK participated in both the combat validation and experimentation elements of the month-long exercise, deploying eight of its flagship GEREON uncrewed ground systems alongside the UK’s Experimentation and Trials Group, 11 Brigade, and 3rd Deep Recce Strike Brigade.
Embedded with British soldiers, the platforms were deployed 24/7 throughout the exercise period across intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, electronic warfare, counter-uncrewed aircraft system, logistics resupply, and casualty evacuation missions.
GEREON successfully completed the training scenarios and battlefield tasks, operating at range across Fort Irwin’s extreme desert conditions and demanding terrain while remaining connected to allied communications, command-and-control, and data networks.
Data generated by GEREON was integrated into brigade, division, and corps-level networks, validating the platform’s ability to operate as part of a wider allied force.
The trials also demonstrated how GEREON uncrewed ground vehicles can move and reposition specialist sensors in forward, dispersed, and hazardous locations, extending the operational range, frontage, and depth of reconnaissance activity while reducing exposure to personnel and crewed platforms.
The systems carried a range of active and passive payloads, including L3Harris’ CORVUS-RAVEN electronic warfare and counter-drone capability, MyDefence’s Watchdog counter-drone sensors, and Overview’s Podview system for reconnaissance and targeting.

“Project Convergence-Capstone 6 provides a valuable opportunity to test how the British Army integrates autonomous and uncrewed systems into land operations alongside existing networks and capabilities, within a multinational corps-level event. This experimentation is central to delivering the Chief of the General Staff’s 20-40-40 vision and understanding how autonomous systems can generate greater mass, reach and operational effect.“
ARX Robotics UK also contributed to the British sustainment line of experimentation, using GEREON for logistics resupply and casualty evacuation scenarios and testing novel approaches to powering robotic systems in the field.
The trials included charging GEREON’s robotic control system using a Plasan ATeMM mobile energy platform and exploring its interaction with the British Army’s newly developed hybrid support vehicle. The activity helped examine the challenge of powering, recharging, and sustaining robotic fleets during prolonged and dispersed operations.

Project Convergence-Capstone 6 focused on validating the U.S. Army’s Next Generation Command and Control architecture and improving interoperability between allied forces.
Evidence and feedback generated during the exercise are expected to inform future capability development and acquisition decisions. ARX Robotics will use the operational evidence and lessons generated at PC-C6 to support the continued development of GEREON, its Mithra operating system, and future concepts for software-defined ground autonomy.
