EdgeRunner AI has released EdgeRunner WarClaw, a hardened agentic orchestration layer designed to provide autonomous digital operations for military personnel in the field.
The system is based on the OpenClaw agent framework and is engineered specifically for warfighters operating in both connected and Denied, Disconnected, Intermittent, and Low-bandwidth (DDIL) environments. By running completely on-device, the platform ensures increased data privacy, security, and performance without requiring a persistent connection to the cloud.
The technology aims to address the challenge of cognitive overload by moving beyond simple chat functions into autonomous execution. It can search and analyze databases, interpret intelligence reports, pull information from the web, and draft briefings or documents. To streamline military planning and administrative tasks, the system integrates with standard productivity tools including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
Tyler Xuan Saltsman, Co-Founder & CEO at EdgeRunner AI, commented, “Warfighting units are overwhelmed by volumes of data from drones, sensors, and signals, not to mention the administrative and operational burdens of military planning. EdgeRunner WarClaw serves as the warfighter’s digital adjutant, providing decision support, data processing, and agentic capabilities all while disconnected from the cloud. EdgeRunner WarClaw is the next step in delivering agentic decision dominance at the tactical edge and realizing our vision for a military-specific JARVIS.”
As the leader in military-specific, on-device artificial intelligence, EdgeRunner AI has built WarClaw to integrate into its existing operating system. The software is capable of running locally on servers, workstations, and laptops, allowing for accelerated decision-making and automated routine processes directly at the front lines.
