Vegvisir launched the Vegvisir NANO, a new compact situational awareness system, at DSEI UK 2025, London.

The NANO is a lightweight and modular addition to the company’s Mixed Reality Situational Awareness System (XRSAS) portfolio. It is designed for unmanned vehicles, optionally manned systems, and units requiring a scalable situational awareness capability, delivering a full 360° battlefield view in a compact and affordable package.

Ingvar Pärnamäe, Vegvisir’s CEO and Co-founder, said, “While the world waits for proof that fiber optics can operate reliably on land, we’ve already done it. At Vegvisir, we didn’t stop at theory — we built the entire chain from sensor to operator, battlefield-ready today.”

The system integrates with existing IP camera infrastructures and is also “AI-ready from day one.” Its features include fiber-proven connectivity, night-capable sensors, and ultra-light helmet-mounted displays designed for dismounted use. The modular design allows vehicle units to be swapped while keeping the same operator kit, providing flexibility and cost efficiency.

Pärnamäe added, “Nano represents our next evolution — making advanced situational awareness accessible to platforms and units that previously could not field such technology.”

Raido Saremat, Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder of Vegvisir, said, “Nano is the enabler of force transition. It equips militaries with a scalable, future-proof tool that adapts to evolving operational needs, while remaining simple to deploy and use.”

The Vegvisir NANO joins the company’s existing portfolio, complementing Vegvisir Core and Remote within Mission Solutions and the Virtual Command Station under Command & Control Solutions.
