Beyond Vision’s BVQ404 interceptor drone has been selected by Japan’s Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency (ATLA) for its Counter-UAS Proof of Concept Program, placing the system first in the agency’s order of interest.
Developed as a compact, high-performance counter-UAS interceptor, the BVQ404 is designed for rapid deployment and the precision neutralization of hostile aerial threats. Engineered for speed, agility, and reliability, the drone provides an effective last line of defense against fast-moving unmanned systems while maintaining a minimal logistical footprint.
The BVQ404 will be evaluated within ATLA’s Early Acquisition Program by Japan’s Self-Defense Forces (JSDF). The program is designed to accelerate the evaluation and deployment of interceptor drones, with competing companies also participating. The BVQ404 was shortlisted for its highest scores, making it the first priority for ATLA.
Beyond Vision said the recognition from the Japanese Ministry of Defense reinforces its international credibility and strengthens its position within the global defense market.
The company will bring the BVQ404 to Farnborough International Airshow from July 20 to July 24 at Hall 0, Stand 0680, giving visitors the opportunity to learn more about the drone and its counter-UAV capabilities.
