Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV)
Discover cutting-edge solutions from leading global suppliers
ARX Robotics is increasing its deployed fleet of GEREON uncrewed ground vehicles in Ukraine fivefold to meet the rapidly growing demand for unmanned systems in frontline logistics and support missions.
The latest contract will deliver several hundred additional medium-sized, autonomous, and modular unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) to Ukraine’s Defense Forces. This expansion establishes ARX Robotics as the largest supplier of western UGVs to the country, with hundreds of vehicles already operating or contracted for delivery across a broad spectrum of missions. The procurement aligns with a broader initiative by Ukrainian officials to scale autonomous battlefield technology, which includes plans to acquire 25,000 new ground robots in the first half of this year alone to fully transition frontline logistics to unmanned systems.

Designed to minimize personnel risk, the UGVs will primarily operate in high-threat environments to handle mission-critical tasks such as logistics, casualty evacuation, and resupply. The GEREON platform features a modular hardware design combined with advanced autonomy software, allowing military forces to rapidly adapt and transition the vehicles between configurations based on evolving operational requirements. Additional payloads and mission configurations may also be integrated over time in ongoing coordination with Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
To support the expanded fleet, ARX Robotics is strengthening its industrial footprint and supply chain resilience within Ukraine alongside local supply partners. The company has already been scaling manufacturing capabilities across its production sites to accelerate delivery times and meet urgent operational requirements. Furthermore, enhanced in-country operational support will provide military units with comprehensive field training and on-site technical assistance to ensure effective vehicle deployment, operation, and maintenance.
This active deployment also serves as a live development pipeline, enabling the company to continuously improve its systems under real operational conditions and advance the development of next-generation uncrewed land capabilities.

Announcing the latest contract, Marc Wietfeld, CEO and co-founder of ARX Robotics, commented, “We are seeing a clear shift in modern combat operations: unmanned ground systems are no longer a niche capability but are becoming a key enabler and the future backbone of frontline logistics. The battlefield reality shows that unmanned ground systems have become indispensable to sustaining forces, reducing risk to soldiers, and preserving the operational edge.”
“At ARX Robotics, we stand ready to support partners facing urgent security challenges through unmanned land systems designed to be deployed quickly, adapted to real operational needs, and scaled at pace. With this contract, we demonstrate that European defence technology can move at the speed the theatre of combat demands – and deliver where it matters most.”
Igor Kornilov, CEO of ARX Robotics Ukraine, added, “Unmanned ground vehicles are reshaping today’s battlefield, delivering a clear operational edge for modern forces navigating contested environments. This contract goes beyond delivery – it marks a decisive step in scaling an end-to-end capability built alongside Ukraine’s Defense Forces. Our close collaboration allows us to act on frontline feedback at speed, continuously refining and evolving our systems to meet real-world demands. At the same time, we are strengthening our field training – ensuring every soldier can fully leverage these capabilities with confidence, while minimizing risk to personnel.”
