The DA 30 actuator from Volz Servos is a high-performance brushless actuator designed for UAV and defense systems that require long-term operational stability and high torque in compact form. Available in both standard and high-torque configurations, the actuator provides durable and precise control for demanding propulsion and flight control applications. A brushless DC motor paired with a contactless position sensor eliminates wear and suppresses electromagnetic emissions, ensuring reliable performance in electrically sensitive environments.

The DA 30 features a saltwater-resistant, HART-coated aluminum housing sealed to IP67 standards for full dust and water protection. Integrated brackets enable horizontal and vertical installation, while the internal eight-stage, ball-bearing-supported steel gear train with an ANSI multi-tooth drive shaft delivers smooth, consistent torque transfer. The actuator supports standard PWM input via galvanically isolated differential or single-ended CMOS interfaces, both of which allow servo programming. RS-485 communication capability provides digital feedback on position, voltage, current, temperature, and optionally humidity within the actuator housing, supporting advanced diagnostics for military and aerospace applications.
