The DA 22 actuator from Volz Servos provides robust control performance for UAV and defense systems where durability and torque consistency are critical. It is available in two housing configurations: a compact short version for confined installations and a long version for applications requiring higher continuous torque output. Both variants use CNC-machined, saltwater-resistant aluminum enclosures sealed to IP67 standards for dust and water resistance, and deliver EMI and RFI protection for operation in electrically demanding environments.
The shorter DA 22-12-2615 model is optimized for lightweight airframes and moderate torque functions such as ailerons and flaps, while the longer DA 22-12-4112 configuration supports higher mechanical loads including landing gear and control surface actuation. All DA 22 actuators incorporate a steel gear train, programmable electronics, motor overload protection, and fail-safe positioning. Connection options include standard M8 male connectors, with MIL-specified or cable gland options also available. Additional configurations offer ISS gear protection, travel up to 330°, position feedback devices, RS-485 communication, and tailored housings for defense-specific integration.
