12–32 V, 20 mm brushless actuator with diagnostic feedback & RS-485 digital interface

The DA 20-TS actuator from Volz Servos is a digitally controlled brushless actuator designed for defense and uncrewed platforms requiring real-time performance data and secure communication protocols. Derived from the DA 20-T mechanical design, it incorporates the RS-485 electronics architecture used in the DA 26 series, enabling advanced diagnostic capability and data integrity through CRC-secured digital communication.

In addition to shaft position reporting, the actuator transmits operational diagnostics such as supply voltage, current draw, and internal temperature. Optional internal humidity sensing provides additional environmental awareness for mission-critical use. The DA 20-TS supports condition-based assessment before, during, and after flight, improving reliability in high-value systems. Its rugged construction, optional redundant electronics, and proven brushless drive architecture make it suitable for extended deployment in harsh military and aerospace environments.
